The family jewel among our sites! The once south-west-facing slope was turned away from the valley in a complex process in the early 1990s. This resulted in 14 south-southwest-facing terraces, which today make up our monopole site, the Wechselberg Spiegel. Since then, the Rieslings from this site have been among the highest-quality wines in our range.

The unique microclimate of the Wechselberg Spiegel creates aromatic Rieslings with a long-lasting acid structure. The barren gneiss reservoir also serves as a heat store, which emits the stored solar heat on cool nights. Only healthy grape material is used for our Premier Cru Ried Wechselberg Spiegel.
