Sauvignon Blanc
Strass im Strassertal

fresh meadow herbs, grapefruit zest & green pepper! That is Sauvignon Blanc from the Strassertal. The grapes come from the Gaisberg vineyard, where barren soils containing mica schist ensure the delicate minerality in the later wine. The Sauvignon Blanc Strass in the Strassertal is the best choice not only as a refreshment outside on hot summer days, but also as an accompaniment to crispy salads.

Sauvignon Blanc

Gaisberg
soil:
weathered mica schist, brown earth

Sauvignon Blanc is harvested in mid-September, before the cool autumn days begin. The fresh grapes are crushed in the press house and undergo a short maceration period. This results in the fine citrus aroma and vegetal notes of meadow herbs and green peppers coming into their own. After six months on the lees in the steel tank, our Sauvignon Blanc Strass in the Strassertal is bottled.
